Another truly stunning day....
On board MS Quest sailing around Spitsbergen
Although we didn't have the blue sky and sunshine, the weather was pleasant, the wind was light and the clouds quite high.
First trip to a Little Auk colony... a climb over boulders to get up level with with the birds.
And then, as we started coming down, our first big highlight of the day, a polar fox...
We had to change our plans this afternoon as one of the Naturetrek guides spotted something swimming out to a small island...
Our first polar bear, we were able to get in the Zodiacs and watch it for ages as it fed on a Walrus carcass, wandered around the island and had a play in the snow... just fabulous.
