Fly to Oslo
Rhona started her holiday yesterday and is now in Ipswich pestering Mikey for carrot every few minutes.
We had a fairly relaxed start to the day, leaving home to start exploring the M25 just before 11.00. The traffic was pretty good and we were in the long term car park just after 12.00.
Bag drop went smoothly enough and we said hello to a couple of the Naturetrek guides who were lurking by the desks.
An excellent salmon salad from Pret and we're ready to go.
We were only slightly late leaving Heathrow and perfectly on time landing at Oslo at 18:50 local time.
We had a very long wait at immigration, only one desk open to deal with all the non-EU visitors.
Just about time to check in at the hotel, dump our bags and grab a glass of wine before our 8.30 meeting with the Naturetrek team to answer any questions about tomorrow.
We're spending the night at the Radisson Blu Hotel at the airport.
Then try to find some food... the hotel restaurant was full, so it was over to the airport for a pizza. An early start tomorrow, 05:30 (that's 04:30 for most of you) alarm to give us time for breakfast, bag drop etc before our flight at 09.45 |
